Dedicated to supporting the structural & civil engineering fields, Sheldon Smith is an outstanding structural and civil engineer.  With years of experience in the engineering & real estate fields, Sheldon has provided structural engineering on-site inspections and design for residential, multi-family & light commercial projects. As Principal of Affinity Engineering, LLC, Sheldon is known for special attention to overseeing all aspects of engineering projects (old & new) from proposals to the final inspection.  

Sheldon earned a graduate degree in Civil Engineering (Bachelor of Science) from Columbia University School of Engineering & Applied Science New York, NY as part of a five-year Dual Degree with Whitworth University Engineer in Training (EIT)) & Whitworth University, Spokane, WA (Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Physics).

In his free time, Shledon enjoys spending time with his family in the great outdoors, playing sports, and being actively involved in his church.  He is dedicated to giving the best service & quality of life in all areas of life including family & his business in engineering.

Christian is the operations expert and keeps our wide array of projects on budget and on schedule. His ability to communicate with clients and to bring consensus among all of the parties involved allows him to attain quality results. With his background in project management in both construction and engineering, Christian has the experience to ensure your project achieves excellence and meets your expectations for service.

Christian is a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado and has been a licensed General Contractor since 2013. His passion is for the client, helping them to navigate all aspects of their complex development projects.

ryan Koeniger

Ryan handles architecture design at Affinity and has nearly 20 years of professional practice experience in the field. He has a passion for craft and creating buildings and spaces that positively influence people, work, families, and culture. Ryan is also a practical designer, valuing function over form and working to ensure the designs we generate meet specific project requirements first. Ryan also brings international design expertise from many years living overseas and working in architecture design in a cross-cultural setting.

Ryan holds a BENVD (Architecture) from the University of Colorado Boulder, and has experiences across several Colorado-based firms completing a wide variety of commercial, hospitality, and various residential projects. Ryan can lead clients through the process of designing projects that are practical, beautiful, and attainable for our client’s needs.

andrew harding

Andrew is the primary structural engineer and on-site inspector for most projects at Affinity.   With several years of experience in the design of custom residential and light commercial projects Andrew values clear communication and efficient design from start to finish.   His favorite projects involve local ingenuity and long-term planning as he has volunteered on design projects in 4 different countries, mostly across Africa and served as a board member for two organizations.  

Andrew graduated cum laude from George Fox University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.  He is currently a certified EIT planning to apply for PE licensure early in 2020.  In his free time Andrew enjoys to camp, ski, invest in his local church and volunteer abroad.  An extroverted designer, Andrew values a personal approach with clients to ensure clarity and a positive experience throughout the design process.
